US oil giants Chevron and ExxonMobil have developed greener gasoline that could be an alternative to switching to electric motors. The fuel developed should help make regular cars not much more harmful than electric cars, writes Reuters.
The composition of the new fuel includes soy and other raw materials that are not associated with fossil hydrocarbons.
“According to Exxon, its ‘clean’ gasoline will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 75% compared to conventional gasoline. Chevron has been assured that their blend is 40% less carbon intensive than conventional vehicle fuel, the statement said.
Manufacturers have indicated that they are trying to find an alternative to passenger cars, as electrification is not the only way to solve the environmental problem. According to representatives of oil companies, entry into the market of alternative fuel types is possible only with state support.
Previously, Glavny Regionalny reported fines for improper transportation of gasoline. Lawyer Dmitry Bezdelin informed about the procedure for transporting dangerous goods.
