The images show that there is no part of the wall, furniture and appliances have been destroyed by fragments. There were no casualties. The explosion occurred in the center of Belgorod on the evening of April 20. According to eyewitnesses, before that they heard a sharp, loud hiss, after which the projectile fell to the ground. A huge crater with a radius of 20 meters formed at the site of the explosion.
The arrival at the regional center was confirmed by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“There is damage to the glazing of a nearby building, the explosion damaged several parked cars and knocked down power lines,” the region’s chief wrote in his Telegram channel.
The governor added that Mayor Valentin Demidov, head of the Yevgeny regional security department, all operational and emergency services are at the scene.
Earlier it was reported that the explosion in Belgorod was very bright and prolonged, followed by a strong flash of light. At present, the exact cause of the incident and the circumstances remain unknown.
