The State Duma introduced a bill on simplification of bankruptcy

A draft law on the simplification and expansion of out-of-court bankruptcy proceedings has been submitted to the State Duma

The State Duma of the Russian Federation will consider a draft law submitted by the government to simplify the bankruptcy procedure. This derives from the parliament database.

The bill proposes to change the maximum and minimum amounts of debt for out-of-court bankruptcy of citizens, as well as to extend the procedure to pensioners and a number of other categories of citizens.

It is proposed to set the maximum threshold for out-of-court bankruptcy at 1 million, and not at 500,000 rubles as before, and to reduce the minimum to 25,000 rubles instead of 50,000 rubles.

It is proposed to include in the list of persons liable to undergo the procedure citizens who have a pension in the form of their only income, or recipients of a monthly allowance related to the birth of a child .
