The new devices with ROSA OS will mainly be aimed at governments and enterprises, but later they could also be released in the consumer segment. According to Rutek’s senior executives, their products “will provide a high level of cybersecurity.” At the same time, the ROSA mobile operating system will have its own marketplace, which currently only has about ten applications.
At the same time, the share of the ROSA desktop operating system in the public sector does not exceed 3%, a source from the electronics market told Kommersant.
“If we’re talking about a mobile operating system, they’ve been doing it for a few years, but there are no details about this project, no one has seen it,” the source said.
The interlocutor also added that in order to provide state customers with tablets and smartphones at ROSA, the seller should provide the devices with “serious cryptographic protection, which should appear in 2024-2025.”
