The largest pension in Russia is granted to representatives of difficult professions, as well as residents of the Far North with the appropriate work experience, said Vadim Vinogradov, member of the Public Chamber, dean of the law faculty HSE, in an interview with the Lead Agency.
He also noted that federal employees with at least 18.5 years of service are entitled to a seniority pension. This category includes military personnel, cosmonauts, flight test personnel.
At the same time, the procedure for calculating the retirement pension in different regions is not the same. Thus, the inhabitants of the Far North and regions assimilated to it receive an allowance for difficult working conditions, regardless of qualifications and type of work.
Previously, there were reports of Russian authorities’ plans to double compensation for voluntary pension savings. The corresponding bill was adopted by the State Duma, it involves an increase to 2.8 million rubles of the threshold for reimbursement of citizens’ funds managed by non-public pension funds (NPF).
