April 24 is China’s Aerospace Day. The legend of a beauty named Chang-e flying to the moon is very popular in China, this was the ancient romantic fantasy of the ancients about the moon. China’s lunar exploration project will now turn the dream into reality. It is reported that in 2023, China will fully promote the fourth phase of the lunar exploration project. According to Wu Weiran, chief designer of the Chinese lunar exploration project, the Chang’e 7 detector is planned to be launched around 2026. Its main task is to find evidence of water on the moon by going to the south pole of the moon. He said the mission of the Chang’e 7 detector is only one step in the mission of the fourth phase of the lunar exploration project. In the future, it will form the core model of the International Lunar Scientific Research Center with the Chang’e 8 detector, and is planned to be completed by 2030.
The Chang’e 8 detector is planned to be launched around the year 2028, its main task is to detect resources on the Moon and conduct experiments on resource reuse. For example, is it possible to build a house on the Moon? Can bricks be laid on the moon? And is it possible to communicate on the Moon? These can be fully tested on Chang’e 8, which is to guarantee truly large-scale lunar scientific research in the future. Wu Weiran said that before the year 2030, China will undoubtedly step on the moon.
