Specialists of the Russian Rospotrebnadzor warned of the first cases of human infection with tick-borne encephalitis.

According to the agency, to date, more than 21.7 thousand people have filed complaints about tick bites.

“The first cases of infection with tick-borne viral encephalitis have been identified,” writes RIA News.

According to statistics, almost 1.73 million people in Russia have been vaccinated against the infection carried by ticks.
