Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

pregnant women should avoid smoking e-cigarettes and marijuana

The chief freelance pulmonologist of the Ministry of Health of the Saratov region, Ruslan Steshenko, is alarmed by the growing popularity of vaping and electronic cigarettes among young people.

The doctor is more concerned about smoking not tobacco, but electronic cigarettes. These devices heat tobacco instead of burning it, reports SaratInform .

According to Steshenko, people usually think that smoking vapes will help them quit cigarettes, but this is not true. In his opinion, in such young people, lung damage may appear in 30 years.

The expert noted that expectant mothers most often smoke vapes or “aycos”, which raise the diaphragm and reduce lung capacity. These factors can complicate childbirth.

Not a single certificate for a smoking mixture indicates how much nicotine or heavy metals it contains.

When asked by a journalist about the most common respiratory diseases in Saratov, Steshenko replied: “Bronchial asthma and pneumonia.”
