Trump leads Biden by 7 points in new election poll

May 8, 2023

According to the poll, Donald Trump won 49%, compared to 42% for Joe Biden.

And 44% of American adults polled said they would definitely or probably vote for Trump, compared to 38% for Biden, while 12% were undecided.

Biden’s popularity has fallen to a new low of 36% from 42% in February.

The Washington Post reported that Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is already trying to “distract voters” from their reservations about him, and instead make a general election scheduled for 2024 an option, not a referendum.

And in terms of acumen, 94% of Republicans, 69% of independents and even 21% of Democrats say Biden lacks the mental acumen to be president.

And 58% of Democratic-leaning adults, according to the poll, want to nominate someone other than Biden.
