We took a ride on the legendary, I’m not afraid of the word, the Suzuki Jimi car. This is not a rare car as you might think, but a brand new Jimny 3D 1.5 AT 4WD GLX.
They first became interested in this car about four years ago, when it first appeared on sale. Its elusive resemblance to the technique from the cult animated series “Evangelion” immediately caught my attention. We understand that emotions speak in us, but we literally grew up on this anime and now we have seen the incarnation of a drawn universe in real life!

Personal impressions
The feeling of futuristic technology comes from the design. It is the use of different colors on the body and the roof, defiant red mud flaps, a white ceiling, an enlarged “windshield wiper” in front of the driver’s seat and other chips that the only found in this car. In addition, Suzuki Jimi has super 360 degree visibility. Therefore, when you sit in the car, you feel like the operator of the Evangelion robot.
I would like to add a few words about the interior. We love the style of the control panel under a retro car. Although the touchscreen with an active navigator is eliminated from the overall picture. The white ceiling makes an interesting echo with the dark materials of the interior.

About the exterior of my Jimi Evangelion, let’s say briefly, but succinctly. The body and door handles are painted with an unrealistically beautiful Chiffon Ivory Metallic paint. We do not understand how the masters of the Suzuki company managed to combine the color of the sky with a metallic sheen, but the car painted in this way looks beautiful!
What else do you like about the car. Suzuki Jimny has a perfectly fitted head and side light. The lighting is intense. When driving at dusk or in the dark, you can not only clearly see everything on the road, but also control the situation on the roadside.

It is a compact SUV with a body length of just over 364 centimeters. It has three doors, one of which leads to the trunk. By the way, if you fold the rear row of seats, you can get a spacious luggage compartment (the maximum trunk volume is 830 liters).
Suzuki Jimny has four-wheel drive and a four-speed automatic transmission. Runs on AI-95 gasoline, starts with a key. Under the hood of my Jimi Evangelion is a 102 horsepower engine. Unfortunately, this power is not particularly reflected in the acceleration time. The car accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 18-20 seconds, which is why some people compare the car to a “slow seal”.

But the car has a high ground clearance (21 centimeters) and low fuel consumption (when driving on the highway it “eats” less than seven liters per hundred kilometers).
The disadvantages include the lack of the ability to connect the phone to multimedia, an indistinct cruise control interface (when turned on, it is not clear what power). It is not very convenient to drive a car in the dark, since there is no illumination of the gear selector. But the main complaint is that there are no heated seats. For this reason, it is uncomfortable to get into the car in the cold season.

Suzuki Jimny is capable of carrying four people. For a miniature SUV, it has a fairly large tank – 40 liters of fuel can be poured at a time. The car accelerates to 140 kilometers per hour.
The volume of the four-cylinder engine is 1462 cubic centimeters. The ecological type of the engine is Euro-5. Maximum torque – 130 N * m at 4000 rpm.
