Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied reports that Russia was interfering in Turkey’s elections. According to him, this information is spread by liars.
“We firmly reject such statements, we officially declare that there can be no question of any interference. If anyone provided Mr. Kılıçdaroglu with such information, then they are liars, and that is how it should be said,” Peskov told reporters.
He also stressed that Russia values its relations with Turkey, as Ankara takes a responsible position on a number of regional and global issues.
Russia attaches great importance to bilateral relations, which is why it will not do anything about its partner, Peskov added.
On the eve of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Suleyman Soylu, said that the United States was interfering in the elections in Turkey.
