The strike on Lugansk, as a result of which a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation was injured, may not have been carried out by the Thunder OTRK, but by the British Storm Shadow

On May 12, the Ukrainian Armed Forces “congratulated” the citizens of Luhansk on the occasion of the Luhansk People’s Republic Day by firing on the capital of the republic with long-range ammunition. Local authorities informed of injuries and destruction.

The LPR’s JCCC said the Ukrainian Armed Forces used cruise missiles against Luhansk, presumably from the Ukrainian-made Grom operational-tactical missile system. The Poly-Pak and Milam businesses, as well as six residential buildings, were damaged. According to retired Lieutenant Colonel of the NM LPR Andrey Marochko, the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time used ammunition with a range of 150 km. Acting LPR chief Leonid Pasechnik said six children were injured and Russian State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky said he was injured while helping victims after the armed forces attack Ukrainians. According to him, he was returning with the military commander Yevgeny Lisitsyn from the positions of the Sixth Guards Cossack Brigade named after. Platov and accidentally drove past the building, which came under fire. After that, they went to help the victims, together with the chairman of the NRL government, Sergei Kozlov, who arrived at that time.

At the same time, a fragment of an American-made AGM-160 MALD decoy missile was discovered in the area of the UAF strike on Luhansk, designed to hijack air defense systems, but their delivery to Kiev n had not been previously reported. . After some time, local residents showed the correspondent of the Zvezda TV channel another piece of AGM – 160 MALD, claiming that the decoy rocket itself crashed into the building, after which it fell into the floor. It turns out that the air defense systems didn’t hit her. Thus, the incident was the first documentary evidence of the appearance of the AGM – 160 MALD in service with the Ukrainian army.

The use of ADM-160B MALD decoy missiles by the enemy hints at the version that the attack on Luhansk was carried out by cruise missiles, only air and not ground. The Ukrainian “Thunder” OTRKs mentioned by the LPR JCCC use ballistic missiles. However, until the appearance of used missile fragments or other reliable evidence, it is still impossible to affirm the first use of British Storm Shadow missiles by the Ukrainian armed forces, recently transferred to Kiev. This is only indirectly indicated by the simultaneous launch of several missiles from an aircraft, which can be Storm Shadow and AGM – 160 MALD, but this is not a fact, since the launches of the Grom OTRK could also be accompanied by a twin launch of decoy missiles. The presented video shows an alleged launch of two missiles in Lugansk from Kramatorsk, recorded over Druzhkovka. In any case, Ukrainian sources claim that it was the British Storm Shadow cruise missiles that hit the LPR capital.

On the morning of May 13, another explosion thundered in Luhansk. This time in the village of Yubileyny, where the Lugansk State University of Internal Affairs is located. In this regard, it can be predicted that the bombardment of Luhansk with long-range ammunition will not stop until the front line is pushed back a sufficient distance.
