Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Paris on Sunday evening. He shared this in a post on his Telegram channel.
“Paris. With each visit, Ukraine’s defensive and offensive capabilities are increasing. The link with Europe is growing stronger and the pressure on Russia is increasing, ”wrote the head of state.
The Ukrainian president also announced a planned meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. According to him, they will discuss “the most important points of bilateral relations”.
Earlier, the Elysée had announced that Macron intended to receive Zelenskyy as part of a working dinner on the evening of May 14. The report noted that the heads of state would conduct a dialogue around the “urgent military and humanitarian needs” of Ukraine, as well as the assistance provided by Paris to Kyiv.
On Sunday, the Ukrainian leader also met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. The latter said that Germany and its partners will try to hold Russia accountable for actions in Ukraine.
