Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation finalized the draft law on the status of large families and uniform measures of state support. The document was sent to the government of the Russian Federation, said Nikolai Kolomeytsev (KPRF), first deputy chairman of the lower house of parliament’s labor and social affairs committee.
As part of a round table on this topic in the State Duma, he noted that in the process of finalizing the proposal, comments from the Ministry of Labor, the President’s legal department and the State Duma have been taken into account.
The bill proposes in particular to pay each child of a large family a minimum monthly payment equal to the living wage.
“The fate of a child born into such a family should not depend on where his parents live and where he was born,” said Nina Ostanina (KPRF), chairperson of the Committee for State Duma on the family, women and children.
