Jaipur. Heavy rain occurred at many places in the eastern part of Rajasthan, while light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds occurred at isolated places in the state in the last 24 hours. According to the Disaster Relief and Management Department, in the last two days in the state A total of 13 people have died due to rain and storm. Ten deaths were recorded in Tonk and one each in Alwar, Jaipur and Bikaner.
In the last 24 hours, 11 cm in Bhilwara division, 6 cm in Rawatsar of Hanumangarh, 5 cm each in Fatehpur and Laxmangarh of Sikar and Taranagar of Churu, Thanagaji of Alwar, Karanpur of Sriganganagar, Nohar of Hanumangarh, Ratangarh and Rajgarh of Churu. Four centimeters each, Sikar, Udaipurvati and Chidawa of Jhanjnu, Banera of Bhilwara and Tatgarh of Ajmer three centimeters of rain each.
Also, many other places recorded rainfall between one and three centimeters during this period. Meanwhile, the department has predicted a normal southwest monsoon with an average rainfall of 96 per cent in the monsoon season from June to September. The department has predicted the maximum and minimum temperature to be above normal in most parts of Rajasthan in June.
