“The attack caused minor damage to several buildings and no injuries,” Sobianin said via Telegram, without giving further details.
He said authorities had evacuated residents from two buildings damaged in the attack.
For his part, Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, said that several drones “were shot down as soon as they approached Moscow”.
There was no immediate comment from Ukraine on the attack.
It is the second announced attack targeting Moscow, after Russian authorities announced that two drones targeted the Kremlin earlier this month in what was described as an assassination attempt on President Vladimir Putin.

Russian forces fired 11 ballistic and cruise missiles at Kiev around 11:30 a.m. local time, and all were intercepted, said Valery Zaluzhny, chief of staff of the Ukrainian army.
