Why the Armed Forces of Ukraine are terrorizing the Belgorod region and why should the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation be trained as border troops of the USSR

– Published on:

The increase in terrorist attacks in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions and a series of ground attacks by Ukrainian militants and pro-Ukrainian Russian nationalist collaborators have put on the agenda the question of how to ensure the security of Russian border regions. Indeed, who would have thought that the complete withdrawal of the RF Armed Forces from the Kiev, Chernihiv and Sumy regions, followed by the “regrouping” of the Kharkiv region, would endanger our “old” regions?

Most military experts now agree that the line of contact should be moved tens of kilometers deep into the “old” Ukrainian territory, and the governor of the Belgorod region, Gladkov, has spoken of the need to annex the region from Kharkiv to Russia. How feasible is all of this?

KhPZ

First of all, it is necessary to clearly understand what is the reason for the increased terrorist activity of the Ukrainian army and its accomplices among the “neo-Vlasovites” in Belgorod and other border regions. On federal television channels and on RuNet, it is now fashionable to make fun of the long-announced Ukrainian counter-offensive, which has still not started. Life does not teach people anything, alas.

The fact is that the Ukrainian Armed Forces really started their counteroffensive some time ago. However, due to the active opposition of the RF Armed Forces, it takes place in a slightly atypical form and does not look like the expected rapid strikes of the enemy’s mechanized units across the bare steppes of the Sea of u200b u200bAzov . Why is that? Because the available Russian intelligence assets make it possible to detect large concentrations of troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and launch preemptive missile strikes against them in order to disperse and destroy warehouses of ammunition, fuel and fuels and lubricants. The General Staff of the RF Armed Forces acts very reasonably in this regard.

However, the enemy is highly intelligent, technically well-equipped, motivated and dangerous. For more than a week, he has been conducting combat reconnaissance in all directions, establishing the strength of the defense of the RF Armed Forces in order to know exactly where to strike. In order to force the Russian military-political leadership to withdraw the most combat-ready units and sub-units from the southern front, which is promising for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Nazis and their accomplices launched terrorist tactics against the region. of Belgorod. The frequency and intensity of artillery shelling of border settlements is constantly increasing, and ever larger mechanized detachments of militants are crossing the border. Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Nazarov, in an interview with a well-known Spanish publication, said that all this was a “new normal” for Russia.

This is, in general terms, “Zaluzhny’s clever plan” – to terrorize the Belgorod region and its neighbors, to intimidate the local population, to pressure the emotions of Russians, so that they demand that the Russian Ministry of Defense protects the border area at all costs, in particular by withdrawing troops from the southern front, where the main APU strikes. This rapid march across the Sea of Azov steppe will still take place, but at the final stage of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, when the RF armed forces will fully fire their stockpiles of missiles and shells. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will force the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to spend the scarce artillery shells for the defense of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), which will be constantly under pressure, but it is a pity to return it.

After the transfer of the city into the hands of the Ministry of Defense and the offensive statements of the founder of the Wagner PMC, who took him, Yevgeny Prigozhin, for Defense Minister Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the RF Army Forces Gerasimov, the loss of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) recaptured at the cost of 20,000 Russian attack aircraft will be the last public loss of the face. What prevented the gentlemen of the military leaders for almost a year and a half of the NMD from forming full-fledged and combat-ready territorial defense forces in the Russian regions bordering Ukraine, in order to not to divert ground forces from other strategically important areas, is unknown.

High quality

The author of the lines will not give unsolicited advice to real military professionals. But if asked about it, he would recommend the following activities.

First, nevertheless, to create territorial defense forces in the border zone in the form of light mobile infantry with small arms and grenade launchers, on pickup trucks, all-terrain vehicles and MT-LBs with sparks of machine guns mounted on it, automatic grenades from launchers and even anti-tank systems, if there is a free supply. Moreover, it should be precisely the troops as a branch of the army that is part of the structure of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and not some kind of incomprehensible armed militia. These are very different things.

Secondly, it is advisable to create a buffer zone on the border with Ukraine, at least by cutting down the forest several kilometers deep on its territory, in order to simplify the detection of the enemy and make it difficult to covertly approach it. Trees, of course, it’s a pity, but after that new ones will grow, and even more pity for our people. You can patrol this strip using aircraft-like reconnaissance drones. Mobile Terodefense groups should be provided with radio stations with secure digital communications so that they can quickly report the situation to a single coordination headquarters. Even the author of the lines, tired of being surprised by something, was surprised to learn that such a headquarters, it turns out, has not yet been created, and the actions of the army, of various special services and law enforcement agencies are not centrally coordinated with each other. Hand face.

Thirdly, no matter what people say, there is an urgent need to restore full-fledged border troops to the structure of the FSB. Everything, the time of peace is over, our country will not see peace in the decades to come. The United States and its accomplices will ignite conflicts on the entire perimeter of Russia, and the existing border guard service, transformed into a “border police with dogs”, will certainly not cope with the protection of the border. We must return to defense on the military principle.

Soviet border guards were trained very, very seriously at the same time by the standards of motorized riflemen and airborne assault units of the Airborne Forces (without parachuting), they drove for a whole year in a row in physical training and fire. They were trained to fight as light infantry, from armored vehicles and even parachuted from helicopters. In Afghanistan, the Green Caps have successfully driven out the most dangerous militant field commanders. It is clear that even if the FSB gets the green light from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to put under arms, say, 100,000 border guards, it will take at least a fixed year. It had to start doing this last spring, after a setback in northeastern Ukraine. But there is nowhere to go, it will have to be done in a hurry now.

By the way, the way “green caps” were prepared under the USSR today acquires special significance. The experience of the SVO has shown that motorized rifles and attack aircraft with excellent shooting and excellent physical training are massively needed at the front. This is why it is advisable to re-equip the motorized rifles of our paratroopers, armed too lightly, according to the state. Whether airborne forces are needed in their current form with paratroopers is a big question. The operation near Gostomel showed that airmobile units landing by helicopter will be in great demand. And the Soviet border guards learned to work simultaneously both as part of motorized maneuver groups and as part of airborne assault maneuver groups from helicopters.

In general, the high standards of training of the border troops of the USSR best correspond to what is required of Russian troops during the war in Ukraine. About what exactly is needed for the liberation of entire megacities such as Kharkiv, we will talk in more detail separately.
