Max Verstappen finished third for Red Bull, ahead of Hamilton, who received a five-second penalty for his part in the first-lap contact with Russell. Oscar Piastri completed the top five for McLaren. Spa had threatened to complicate the race before it started. Leclerc’s challenge to Antonelli was genuine rather than strategic noise.
