Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on 692 Russian organizations and individuals

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions on 254 companies of organizations that provide security and defense of Russia, as well as 438 people, including athletes. The corresponding decrees are published on the website of the Ukrainian leader.

So, among the athletes subject to Zelenskyy’s sanctions are the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in figure skating Ilya Averbukh and the goalkeeper of the Moscow football club CSKA Igor Akinfeev.

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has decided: to support the proposals made by the Security Service of Ukraine on the application of measures personal special economic and other restrictive measures,” the document said.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensyy signed a decree on the introduction of restrictive measures against 33 citizens and 225 companies of Russia.
