Anti-terrorism security measures will be reinforced in Penza as part of May celebrations

On April 20, 2023, at a meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Commission and the operational headquarters of the Penza region, the question of security measures related to the upcoming mass events scheduled for May 1 – Spring and Labor Day and Feast of victory was discussed.

Governor Oleg Melnichenko noted the need for maximum security when laying flowers, wreaths at monuments, concerts and other traditional events.

He added that the monument located on Victory Avenue and Yubileinaya Square in Penza should be guarded with utmost care. The governor also recalled the basic preparedness regime in the region and pointed out that threats increase in the context of a special military operation, so you must be ready for all situations.
