The concert of the chamber choir in Kazan was called the magic of loneliness with God

April 22, 2023

The final concert of the State Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan from the cycle “Non-boring Choir” – “The Fifth Element” was held at the Salikh Saidashev Concert Hall in the capital of the republic with a full house. The show was led by the artistic director, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Milyausha Tamindarova.

Tickets for the concert sold out within two months. Faith is reflected through music – namaz, Orthodox, Jewish prayer. Music is a direct path to the unity of peoples. We walk a path with people where everyone is immersed in themselves and their thoughts. It’s the magic of solitude with yourself and God, Tamindarova said.

The show started in total darkness, the choir sang “Our Father” in Slovenian, Latin, Swahili and other languages. In the first part, Alina Yakonina performed Mozart’s Little Nocturnal Serenade and the choir performed Haydn’s secular oratorio The Four Seasons.

As in the famous romance by Rachmaninoff – “There is only God and I here” – music saves people from depression, from sorrows. If we are honest on stage, the audience will reciprocate. I give my heart, we work, we create happiness for people for several hours, Milyausha Tamindarova said.

Each room was greeted with thunderous applause. Tamindarova added that the group had big plans for May: a performance at the Moscow Easter Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev.

The concert ended with the song “I’m free” in a touching performance by Milyausha Tamindarova: a confession and gratitude to the audience, which responds to the artists with devotion and love.
