Fighter “Wagner”: Ukrainian soldiers pretend to be residents of Bakhmut for salvation

April 25, 2023

A PMC “Wagner” fighter told RIA Novosti that Ukrainian soldiers were posing as civilians and trying to evacuate the western areas of Bakhmut.

So, during the evacuation of civilians in one of the city districts, a sniper from the nationalist Azov battalion banned in the Russian Federation was caught, who changed into civilian clothes to leave the city. Russian soldiers noticed him and arrested him.

As mentioned, this is not the only case where Ukrainian soldiers resort to such tactics: they pose as civilians in order to leave dangerous areas.

“We find civilians in houses, in basements: women, children, grandfathers. They get caught dressing up as civilians and trying to get out. Recently we caught a sniper who pretended to be a civilian, but turned out to be a military man from Azov *, ”the group member said.
