“We do not see any unsolvable task on the way to implementing this project,” the diplomat said.

Nevertheless, as he added, this issue is sensitive, and therefore “provides for the maintenance of a certain ‘information hygiene’ in the public space in order to avoid harming national interests – his own and those of the customer”.

In addition, Pilipson said that “individual states are applying a variety of restrictive measures against Russia.”

“However, (this is done) not to protect democracy and human rights, but to eliminate a competitor in the heavy weapons market,” the diplomat stressed.

At the same time, the director of the Fourth European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the topic of mutual settlements under this agreement is unlikely to fall into the sphere of popular coverage.

Recall that in 2017, Russia and Turkey signed the first contract for the S-400 regiment set at 2.5 billion dollars with an option to purchase another regiment. Deliveries of the first regiment were carried out in the summer-autumn of 2019. The readiness to use the S-400 air defense system acquired from Russia was announced earlier by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

In 2022, the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of Russia, Dmitry Shugaev, told RIA Novosti that the contract for the supply of the second regiment of S-400 air defense systems had been signed and was beginning to be implemented.

Earlier, Pilipson said that Moscow is ready to draw up requests for the supply of fighter jets to Ankara, in the event of substantial interest from the Turkish side.
