In Omsk, despite complaints from local residents, four public transport lines are planned to be cut. And also to postpone until next year the introduction of a regulated tariff.
Contracts with private carriers will be signed at best by summer 2024, reports Novy Omsk. At the same time, the list of routes that will be transferred under the control of the authorities will change. Lines n°393, n°30, n°345, n°511 will be completely deleted.
After the introduction of a regulated fare, carriers will no longer be able to unilaterally increase prices for passengers. And they will also be required to ensure the operation of benefits, Omka cards, unlimited travel cards, and the operation of cashless payment terminals.

The resentment of Omsk residents this week has already caused fares to rise on more than 30 routes. And no one can guarantee that it won’t happen again in the coming year.

Meanwhile, residents of the right bank complain about the lack of municipal transport. Schoolchildren and pensioners must pay a full fee when traveling by minibus. Unless, of course, passengers manage to fit into crowded cabins. Otherwise, the 800 meter bridge must be crossed on foot.
