The Russian Federation, where inflation for 2022 stood at 11.9%, was on the 52nd line in terms of price growth among all countries in the world. That’s what the math says RIA News .The highest inflation was recorded in Zimbabwe (243.8%), Venezuela (234%) and Lebanon (122%).Of the countries in Europe, 17 were in the top 50, 11 of which are members of the EU. Inflation accelerated most noticeably in Moldova (30.2%), Ukraine (26.6%), Hungary (24.5%), as well as in Lithuania (21.7%) and Latvia (20.8%).Among Russia’s neighbors, the highest price growth rates were recorded in Kazakhstan (20.3%), Kyrgyzstan (14.7%) and Azerbaijan (13.9%).The lowest inflation was observed in China – only 1.8% and in Oman – 1.98%. The only state in deflation was South Sudan, where prices fell 11.6% in 2022.The study was based on data from the national statistical services of 193 UN member countries.
