March 2, 2023, 10:27 am – Public Information Service – TEH – In the UK, a resident of the village of New Withington in Derbyshire, Margaret Woods, celebrated her 100th birthday and shared the secret to her longevity. This is reported by the Derbyshire Times.
His relatives, Chesterfield Mayor Tony Rogers and his wife, members of the Royal British Legion, and sports journalist Nick Johnson came to congratulate the centenarian.
The Woods family consists of four generations: two children, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The Briton claims hard work has helped her live to be 100. “Always stay positive and always look on the bright side of life,” she shared.
It is reported that the woman started working immediately after school and retired at the age of 80. At age 59, Woods was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a mastectomy, took a course in radiation therapy and won in oncology.
The Briton said the most vivid memory of her life is meeting her husband Frank. They met at 17 and accompanied him until his death in 2005.
