His Excellency Mr. Al-Naam Mayara, Chairman of the Moroccan Council of Advisors, was elected Speaker of the Mediterranean Parliament for the same period, to succeed the Portuguese Pedro Roque, while Dr. Alia Hatog Bouran, Member of the Jordanian Senate, and His Excellency Mr. Bilal Qassem, Member of the Palestinian National Council, were elected as two deputies. to the president
It is noteworthy that the Group of Southern Mediterranean Countries, which will assume the presidency of the next session of Parliament, nominated in a previous meeting its representatives to fill those positions, as they were chosen to assume them by the General Assembly of Parliament.
