In Kaliningrad, Rospotrebnadzor reminds you of what you can get from cats

March 4, 2023

Kaliningrad Rospotrebnadzor recalls what can be infected by cats. Although most feline infectious diseases do not affect humans, some can still be dangerous.

Thus, cat scratch disease can be dangerous for some people, which develops due to the pathogen entering the body through licking, scratching, biting, etc. It manifests itself as a raised spot with a red rim in place of a healed scratch, which soon turns into a bubble, then – an ulcer or a crust. Then there is an increase in the nearest lymph node, after which fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, fatigue and lack of appetite are possible. This is reported by the official telegram channel of the Kaliningrad Rospotrebnadzor.

Earlier, MK in Kaliningrad reported that Kaliningrad residents have learned how to reduce the risk of injuries among children.
