In Somalia, militants attacked a garrison of US-trained Somali troops

In Somalia, militants associated with the group Al-Qaeda (banned in the Russian Federation) Al-Shabab (banned in the Russian Federation) attacked a garrison of Somali soldiers trained by the United States armed forces in Lower Jubba province.
