Qatar: 4 people died and 23 others were injured in a train accident in the Egyptian city of Qalyub

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that 4 people died and 23 others were injured in a train collision that occurred yesterday, Tuesday, at Qalyub City Station in Qalyubia Governorate.

The ministry stated, in a statement today, that 18 injured people were transferred to Qalyub Specialist Hospital, and 3 injured to Qanater Charity Central Hospital, while two cases were transferred to Nasser Institute Hospital in Cairo, noting that 11 injured were discharged after receiving medical service, and their health condition stabilized, while The rest of the injured receive the necessary medical care.

For its part, the Egyptian National Railways announced, in a statement, that while the train was entering Qalyub station, the driver overtook it and continued walking, which led to the train entering the finished railway and the collision.

For its part, the Egyptian Public Prosecution announced, in a statement, that the Public Prosecutor had ordered the formation of a team to investigate the Qalyub train collision.
