Ministry of Defense: Russia retaliated for terrorist attacks in Bryansk region. Which targets were hit

– Published on:

High-precision long-range air, sea and land weapons, including the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system, hit key parts of Ukraine’s military infrastructure, military-industrial complex enterprises, as well as energy facilities that support them .

“The aim of the strike has been achieved. All designated targets have been hit,” said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, as a result of these attacks, the bases of enemy attack drones were destroyed. In addition, the transfer of reserves and the rail transport of foreign weapons were disrupted. And production facilities for the repair of military equipment and the production of ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also disabled.

And here’s what Ukrainian authorities have been reporting all day on the March 9 Russian strike. Early Thursday morning, air raid warnings sounded for several hours in Kiev, Kirovograd, Ivano-Frankivsk, Nikolaev, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and a number of other regions.

Zelenskyyy wrote about the damage to critical infrastructure there, which led to restrictions in the operation of the energy system.

In Kiev, they informed that three out of ten districts of the Ukrainian capital were deprived of electricity. Local media reported on a violent fire at CHPP N 5. City Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced explosions in Goloseevsky and Svyatoshinsky districts. According to him, at least 40% of Kyivans were left without heating, 15% – even without electricity.

“Energy infrastructure and industrial enterprises have been damaged. There is serious damage,” Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional administration, wrote on his Telegram channel.

Kharkiv region chief Oleg Sinegubov said at least 15 explosions were recorded in the region, 11 of them in the regional center.

“Critical infrastructure has been damaged. It’s a thermal power station, it’s transformer substations,” Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov told Rada TV. He added that the whole city is out of power, its water supply is suspended.

< p class="">“Several power lines and a pylon were damaged in the Odessa region,” said Maxim Marchenko, head of the regional administration. According to him, there are hourly emergency power cuts in the area. Zhytomyr region authorities reported that about 150,000 consumers were left without power. The coup in the Kropyvnytskyi district energy facility was recognized by the administration of the Kirovohrad region. Remember that our soldiers have been hitting the Ukrainian rear infrastructure for five months now. Powerful rocket attacks began after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the retaliatory strike for the first time. Another such massive blow was delivered on Thursday by the Russian armed forces in response to the terrorist attacks in the Bryansk region. This, of course, was not the end of the matter. Active operations were carried out by our troops in all the main directions of the Eastern Military District. As a result, the armed formations of the Kiev regime lost about 400 people, several dozen armored vehicles and artillery pieces per day. An ammunition depot of the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near the settlement of Vozdvizhenka in the Donetsk People's Republic. Under Chasov Yar an American-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar was hit. Our pilots shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter in an air battle over Volnyansk in Zaporizhzhia. And near Novogrodovka in the DPR, an enemy Mi-8 helicopter was liquidated. The list of colonies liberated from Ukrainian nationalists is growing. On Thursday, Dubovo-Vasilevka was added to them. This village, located northwest of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , was taken under control by the volunteers of our assault detachments.
