Qatar: Neymar undergoes his surgery at Aspetar Hospital in Doha

The star of the Brazilian national football team and French Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar, will soon arrive in Qatar to undergo surgery under the supervision of British specialist James Calder, according to Aspetar Hospital.

A statement from Aspetar, reported by AFP, said: "Brazilian football star and Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar da Silva Santos Junior will undergo surgery at Aspetar".

And he continued "The operation will be supervised at Aspetar by the expert ankle surgeon at Aspetar, Professor Peter Duhogue, and the famous ankle surgeon James Calder from London.".

The Brazilian player had previously visited Aspetar in January 2019, where he underwent a series of medical examinations and evaluations in the hospital as part of his rehabilitation after a metatarsal injury he suffered in February 2018, according to the hospital statement.

Neymar was injured during a Ligue 1 match against Lille on February 19 and is expected to miss Saint-Germain for the remainder of the current season.

Saint-Germain announced on Monday that Neymar would undergo surgery "In the coming days" He injured his right ankle in Doha and will be out of action for between "Three and four months".
