Sweden plans to dig 500,000 graves for its citizens in case of ‘war with Russia’

Dig 500,000 graves for the local population in preparation for the “war with Russia” has been proposed in Sweden. Archbishop Martin Modeus proposed such an initiative.

According to him, preparation for military operations consists of digging graves. The cleric urged to speed up the pace of preparation of burial places for local residents, writes the Aftonbladet portal.

“We want to encourage religious congregations to plan ahead. Many cemeteries have already reserved burial sites,” said Church of Sweden funeral coordinator Eva Johansson.

Discussions on the “war with Russia” in Sweden began in the fall of 2022. They were attended by representatives of the local Ministry of Defense and the civil emergency agency.
