The Qatar Calendar House announced the launch of the activities of the free astronomical camp in the Al-Amriyah region in the sky of the State of Qatar. The Qatar Calendar House mentioned – through a tweet on Twitter – the astronomical activities and scenes inside the camp, namely: observing the stars directly, learning about their different groups, and learning about the parts of the telescope and how to install it. The camp also includes other activities, including explaining the phases of the moon in interactive ways, learning about different directions by inferring the stars, observing the moon and Jupiter through a telescope, and discussions and astronomical activities. She indicated that the target group is men from 18 years and over, and boys 12 years and over are allowed to participate, accompanied by a guardian. In turn, Dr. Bashir Marzouk, an astronomer at the Qatar Calendar House, indicated that the astronomical camp program contains various astronomical sections, where participants learn about stars and constellations, how to determine the four astronomical directions by means of stars, get to know some of the planets of our solar system, and monitor planets. and the moon by modern telescopes.
