Gatherings in opposition to pension transformation have occurred in metropolises throughout France.

The seventh national demonstration against the pension reform of recent months took place on Saturday in the streets of Paris, Nice, Toulouse, Toulon, Lorient and other French cities, informed Interfax. During the dispersal of the rally in Paris, the police were forced to use tear gas. RTVI presents highlights from Saturday’s protests.

Meanwhile, the French Senate, with 195 votes for and 112 votes against, approved the pension reform bill proposed by President Emmanuel Macron. The project plans to raise the retirement age to 64 years.
