Qatar Charity delivers 20 social homes in Tunisia

Yesterday, the Director of Programs and International Development at Qatar Charity, Mr. Abdulaziz Jassim Hajji, and the Director of Qatar Charity’s office in Tunisia, Mrs. Karima Al-Bousalmi, supervised the handover of 20 out of 62 social homes to a number of residents of the Mahdia governorate in Tunisia. The cost of building housing units amounted to 4 million dinars, and this development project was worked on within the framework of the Tunisian government program and Qatar Charity, with the aim of enabling a number of needy families to enjoy decent housing that improves their living conditions in light of the economic and social difficulties that Tunisia has been going through since -revolution years. In a related context, on March 10, the other 42 homes were handed over by Qatar Charity. It should be noted that the total area of ​​the dwelling is 100 square meters, of which 56 square meters is covered, and it consists of a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom with an outdoor lobby. On this occasion, Mr. Abdelaziz Jassim Hajji, Director of Programs and Development at Qatar Charity, thanked the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia and the regional and central authorities in Tunisia for the good coordination shown in the implementation of this project and other projects funded by the association in Tunisia, reminding that Qatar Charity will always continue its projects development, supporting the efforts of the authorities in this regard. It is noteworthy that Qatar Charity inaugurated last Saturday a center for the education of people with special needs in the governorate of Tala in the western center of the Republic of Tunisia. It extends over an area of ​​500 meters and includes a number of halls, an indoor restaurant, some offices and two warehouses. The total cost of this center is 500 thousand dinars.
