His Excellency Mr. Timmy Davis, Ambassador of the United States of America to the country, affirmed his country’s appreciation for the effective role of the State of Qatar on the global arena, praising at the same time the advanced level of relations between the two friendly countries. HE Mr. Davis said in a panel discussion during the Global Security Forum currently being held in Doha: "The State of Qatar has become a force for good, not only at the regional level, but also at the international level, and we have a strategic partnership with it and well-established economic and security relations.". added: "We highly appreciate what the State of Qatar is doing at the regional and international levels, and the humanitarian assistance it provides around the world, and this is what we seek to confirm over and over again in the United States so that everyone realizes the importance of this relationship for us.". He continued: "The State of Qatar plays positive roles in many files at the regional and international levels, and it has a rich and successful foreign policy, and there are many areas that allow us to work together, especially in areas where they have great experience.". His Excellency praised the remarkable development witnessed by the State of Qatar at various levels, and its stability, security and openness to the world, and the stable and distinctive environment it provides for companies, businesses and tourism as well. He said: "American companies must realize that the State of Qatar is the place where companies and businesses can be launched, and new opportunities not available elsewhere, in addition to being a distinctive tourist home, where stability, modernity and culture". He continued: "I can think of 20 countries in the world that Americans might want to visit, they could visit Qatar instead and get what they were getting in those 20 countries". His Excellency also praised the wonderful organization of the FIFA,Football,Soccer,Football,Soccer World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that this tournament is the best ever so far, and he also noted the reforms that the country has witnessed to regulate the labor market and protect the rights of workers. It is noteworthy that the Global Security Forum, which is held under the slogan "Redrawing the contours of the world order: conflicts, crises and cooperation"In its fifth edition, it focuses on the international approach to managing conflicts, crises and cooperation, and includes discussions on topics such as the global energy crisis, the approach to promoting sustainable economies, the great power competition whose peak was the war in Ukraine, as well as the role of the United Nations Security Council, and other issues. The forum is witnessing high-level participation that brings together a number of government leaders, ministers, heads of security agencies, and government policy makers, in addition to specialized experts, academics, journalists, and private sector leaders from the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, and the Far East.
