Says Russians lost 1,100 soldiers in Bakhmut in one week

The Russians lost over 1,100 troops in the Battle of Bakhmut in just one week. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday.

“In less than a week, starting March 6, we managed to kill more than 1,100 enemy soldiers in Bakhmut. Russia’s irreversible loss is in Bakhmut,” he said in his daily speech to the nation.

He also said that around 1,500 Russian soldiers were so badly injured in Bakhmut during that same period that they are no longer fit for combat.

In addition, the Ukrainians destroyed ten Russian ammunition depots and a considerable amount of military equipment, according to Zelenskyy .

Fierce and bloody battles have been going on around Bakhmut for months, and the Russians are said to have lost up to 30,000 soldiers there.
