Doha University discusses the impact of loneliness on mental health

The Department of Student Success and Counseling at Doha University of Science and Technology hosted a panel discussion on mental health. This event was held in one of the main lecture halls on the university campus, and participation was open to all students of Doha University of Science and Technology. The panel discussion included a group of experts in the field of psychology and mental health to find out the impact of loneliness on mental health, some ways to deal with loneliness, strategies for improving relationships, establishing strong bonding relationships and maintaining positive mental health.

Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, President of Doha University of Science and Technology said "We strive to create an environment that supports our students and helps them understand the various aspects of health and wellness. This event is an important step on this path, as we realize that loneliness has a negative impact on mental health, and it is a challenge that can be dealt with. We hope that the meeting of experts with students will provide practical strategies to combat loneliness, strengthen relations between members of society, and give our students the tools and mechanisms they need to develop and grow in a healthy way.".

There are many factors that may have harmful effects on the physical and psychological health of university students. The issue of loneliness among students is common, and thus establishing strong bonds with the individual and other strategies may mitigate it. The panel discussion focused on the importance of communicating with others, and what it means "Connection" In fact, various tools that students can apply to increase their success in this field.
