Norwegian arms maker for Ukrainian Armed Forces accuses TikTok data center of disrupting projectile production

March 25, 2023

Norwegian-Finnish ammunition company Nammo has made allegations against the TikTok data center. Concern said that due to its construction, the manufacturer of shells, including for the Ukrainian army, lacks electricity, writes VG.

According to the newspaper, the company intends to develop its own production in depth, located in a business park 100 kilometers from Oslo. In this regard, Nummo needs additional capacity and sufficient supply of electricity, which is not sufficient due to the allocation of free electricity volumes by the local energy company for the construction of a new TikTok data center.

“Authorities must choose between preserving cat videos and providing essential public functions,” said Morten Brandseg, CEO of the group.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that in the near future the Ukrainian army will not attempt a counteroffensive due to the lack of weapons in sufficient numbers. According to him, the Ukrainian armed forces are simply not ready for this at the moment.
