Every Spring a Flower Program, affiliated with the Qur’anic Botanic Garden, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, announced the launch of the 17th edition of the Green Tent, which is organized annually in the blessed month of Ramadan, starting from tomorrow (Sunday), where the activities of the tent include 11 panel discussions. It has a number of experts in various fields, whether in attendance at the headquarters of the Sealine Sports Club (Mawater) or virtually via visual communication technology.
Dr. Saif Ali Al-Hajri, head of the program, said during a press conference on this occasion that the green tent raises a number of topics that benefit the community, and it has achieved over the past 16 editions an accumulation of experiences and topics that are dealt with, which had the best impact in conveying the recommendations of experts and participants. to the concerned authorities.
He added: This year, we mixed remote participation and direct communication in attendance of the sessions, to build on what we have achieved during the Corona crisis, as we have attracted a number of scientists and experts from different countries of the world, with whom we seek to expand our network of relations and benefit from their knowledge."He expressed his gratitude to the Sealine Circuit Sports Club (Mawater) for providing the opportunity to organize the sessions at the club’s headquarters.
He explained that the sessions of the Green Tent will address 11 topics this year, starting with the issue of the Islamic endowment and its contributions to facing contemporary challenges, while the second session deals with the latest developments in science and medicine with regard to fasting for patients, while the third session is related to climate summits and confronting climate change, with the participation of experts from several Countries.
He noted that the fourth session of the green tent will discuss keeping pace with training operations with the requirements of the labor market in the future, with the fifth session dealing with safe roads towards a sustainable traffic environment, while the sixth session will review lessons learned from the FIFA,Football,Soccer,Football,Soccer World Cup Qatar 2022 in light of the efforts of the State of Qatar to present a version that is The best in the history of the tournament.
He added that the seventh session in the green tent will deal with the successful experiences of the circular economy, while the eighth session will review the contributions of cybersecurity to achieving community security, and the ninth session will discuss the challenges of raising young people in the Arab world, and the tenth will deal with the reality and concerns of culture and arts in the Arab world, provided that the session is The last one, on the nineteenth of the blessed month of Ramadan, is a poetry evening with the participation of a number of Qatari and Arab writers and poets.
Dr. Saif Al-Hajri, head of the “A Flower for Every Spring” program, explained that all the topics raised through the green tent intersect with the concepts of the environment, whether endowments in Islam or the circular economy or other topics that are closely related to the environment and the importance of preserving it.
For his part, Ahmed Hamad Al-Obaidly, Public Relations Officer at Sealine Circuit Sports Club (Mawater), affirmed the club’s keenness to meet the requirements of youth sports, and work to stop car accidents, whether sports or traffic, noting the efforts of (Mawater) and its various activities that would reduce Traffic accidents, and educating young people about the need to practice sports in the places designated for them, with the participation of a number of concerned authorities in the country.
He added that the club participates in two tournaments during the holy month of Ramadan, one of which is with Gulf participation, expressing his hope to qualify Qatari champions to represent the State of Qatar in various local, regional and international tournaments in the coming years. In turn, Khaled Saeed Al-Shuaibi, one of the founders of the Green Tent, confirmed that the activities of the program seek to achieve the highest benefit for the public during the blessed month of Ramadan, by presenting various episodes on different topics, noting the efforts of the Sealine Sports Club (Mawater) in supporting the program.
