Almost 66 billion rubles have been invested in the industry of the Volgograd region

In 2022, industrial organizations in the region mastered 65.9 billion rubles. The total volume of investments in enterprises of all industries amounted to more than 216 billion rubles for the year.

According to the Regional Committee for Industrial Policy, Trade and Energy-Energy Complex, most of the funds were invested in the development of manufacturing industries – almost 50 billion rubles. This is 8.1 billion more than what was invested in 2021. 6.3 billion rubles were allocated to mining companies, more than 9.2 billion rubles were allocated to provide the industry with l electricity, steam and gas. Modernization of the Volzhskaya hydroelectric power station continues, where 22 turbines and 17 generators have been replaced with new ones.

Recall that the Volgograd region is strengthening its position as the industrial and energy center of the Southern Federal District. Governor Andrei Bocharov assigned these tasks to the relevant department. From 2014 to 2022, 128 industrial investment projects aimed at creating new industries have been successfully implemented. About 311 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes, more than 9 thousand new jobs were created.

This year, the region plans to implement another 24 industrial projects worth about 79 billion rubles. Thus, the construction of the first natural gas liquefaction complex in the YuFL began. The creation of an extraction and processing plant for the extraction and beneficiation of potash salts continues. Work is underway to set up a competence center for special steels in the region.
