The entire batch of Leopard 2 tanks promised by Germany has arrived in Ukraine.
According to the publication Spiegel, a batch of German tanks in the amount of 18 units was delivered to Ukraine. According to the publication, Leopard 2 tanks have already crossed the Ukrainian border, leaving German territory at the end of last week.
“About 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles … also arrived in the war zone,” the article said.
The German magazine also notes that the German authorities, for security reasons, do not disclose the exact route by which arms deliveries to Kiev are carried out.
Previously, Leopard 2 tanks were transferred to Ukraine from Norway. Eight German-made tanks were sent to Kiev from the Scandinavian Peninsula. The Norwegian Ministry of Defense also reported that Ukrainian personnel are currently undergoing training.
