Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Deputy State Duma Zhurova reacted to the decision of the UN Security Council on Nord Stream

First Deputy Chair of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee Svetlana Zhurova says an absurd situation arose during the vote in the UN Security Council on the investigation of the attacks terrorists against the Nord Stream.

“The situation is absolutely absurd, because at smaller times, when it was necessary to blame Russia, at least to somehow link it to certain events, all kinds of investigations were immediately carried out . And when it became clear that this terrorist act was somehow very dirty, then everyone immediately ran into the bushes to hide, and the same UN, unfortunately,” Zhurova said in an interview with Lenta.ru.

She also noted that the Russian Federation will continue to try to investigate other sites.

The Russian side does not plan to submit a draft resolution on the need for an in-depth international investigation into the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines to the vote of the UN Security Council (SC) again. The corresponding statement during communication with journalists was made by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.
