North Korea retests underwater nuclear drone

The National Defense Academy of North Korea from March 25 to 27 tested the “strategic underwater weapons” system for the second time. This data is provided by the Korea Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA).

Thus, it is reported that the DPRK military launched the Haeil-1 drone in Wonsan Bay on March 25, which on March 27 reached a predetermined position in Hwade County, Hamgyongbuk-do Province, covering a total distance of about 600 km. This drone took 41 hours and 27 minutes. Upon arrival at the indicated point, a model nuclear charge exploded.

The data obtained during the test allowed Pyongyang to assess the technical characteristics, as well as confirm the reliability and safety of the weapon system.

In addition, the DPRK conducted a simulated nuclear explosion on March 27, using surface-to-surface tactical ballistic missiles for this purpose.
