FSB calls for arrest of US journalist Gershkovich in spy case

The investigation insists on the arrest of Wall Street Journal (WSJ) journalist Evan Gershkovich, who was previously detained in Yekaterinburg on suspicion of espionage. This was reported to TASS at the Lefortovsky court in Moscow.
According to the news agency, the court received a request from the investigative department of the FSB to order Gershkovich a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Recall that on March 30 it became known that the FSB in Yekaterinburg arrested the American journalist Evan Gershkovich. The WSJ correspondent was suspected of having collected secret state documents on a Russian defense industry company.
The Wall Street Journal said it was “deeply concerned” by the journalist’s detention.
