IMF chief shared forecast for world economy in 2023

March 30, 2023

The world economy is far from stable and is in a zone of turbulence. International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva shared her outlook for the global economy for 2023 at the Boaos Asian Forum in China.
“We expect 2023 to be another difficult year,” RIA Novosti said, citing Georgieva.
The IMF boss noted that companies are no strangers to difficulties, since this is not the first year that “the global economy has been in a turbulent environment” and experienced “shock after shock”. Now, according to Gergieva, the situation is aggravated due to the ongoing Ukrainian crisis. According to IMF forecasts, in 2023 GDP growth will be less than 3%.
Earlier it was reported that in Vladivostok, following the results of the Eastern Economic Forum 2022, agreements were signed for a record amount of more than three trillion rubles.
Recall that in January 2023, during the Economic Forum in Davos, the President of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, noted that the world was facing so many crises at the same time, that a global digital control network was therefore needed.
