The General Staff of the RF Armed Forces: there are no plans for a second wave of mobilization

Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the main organization and mobilization directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the RF, said that the plans of the Russian Armed Forces do not provide for a second wave of mobilization.

According to him, there are currently enough citizens and volunteers already called in to complete all the tasks set.

“There is no second wave of mobilization in the plans of the general staff. Now, to fulfill the tasks, there are enough citizens who have already been called up for military service, as well as those who have voluntarily expressed a desire to participate in a special military operation in Ukraine,” Tsimlyansky stressed.

He added that the Ministry of Defense has done work to expand the network of selection points for contract soldiers. This happened due to the fact that recently the number of citizens who wanted to voluntarily enter military service under the contract has increased significantly.

Recall that earlier it was reported that this year’s spring draft will be held at the usual time – from April 1 to July 15. It will affect 147,000 Russians between the ages of 18 and 27.
