The State Duma said that recruits would not be sent to serve in the new subjects of the Russian Federation

Andrey Kartapolov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, said that conscripts would not be sent to serve in the new subjects of the Russian Federation – the regions of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia and from Cherson. This is reported by Interfax.
“In the new subjects of the Russian Federation – these are the people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions – conscription will not be carried out in the spring at all,” Kartapolov said.
In 2023, spring conscription will take place from April 1 to July 15. Recall that the 2022 fall draft began a month later than usual – on November 1.
Recall that earlier a draft of a gradual increase in the draft age for military service was submitted to the State Duma. It provides for a transitional period until 2026. The State Duma announced that conscripts will not be sent to serve in the new subjects of the Russian Federation
