The death toll from a temple collapse in India rose to 36 on Friday, after rescue workers found the body of the last person they were looking for, police told AFP.
Dozens of worshipers fell into a well surrounded by stairs used in religious rituals when the floor of the temple that covered it collapsed under the weight of the audience.
The accident occurred in the city of Indore in the central state of Madhya Pradesh.

Police official Manish Kapuria told AFP "Yesterday (Thursday) 17 people were rescued and 36 bodies were found".
newspaper explained "Times of India" That women and children, including an 18-month-old baby, were on the floor of the temple, which showed traces of warping, before it collapsed, as they fell into the bottom of a 7.5-meter-deep well.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said "His grief" because of the tragedy.
Modi confirmed that "The government implemented rescue and relief operations at a rapid pace". added "I raise my prayers for all those affected and their families".
Modi’s office announced that relatives of the victims would receive 200,000 rupees (2,230 euros) in compensation.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra confirmed to reporters that an investigation had been opened into the incident.
Police official Manish Kapuria told AFP that rescue operations were continuing and the survivors were being taken to hospital.
Television footage showed paramedics using ropes and ladders to reach the people stuck in the well.
